General: All cars are subject to inspection at any time prior to a race, after a race or both. Winning “main” cars will be inspected after the race to ensure they are still within guidelines and rules. In the event that the car fails post race inspection the second place car will receive the win for that race provided that it passes post race inspection. Any failed post inspection vehicles will be placed (in order that they unofficially finished) at the end of the finishing grid and be awarded points for finishing in those positions. In addition to this, anyone has the right to challenge a vehicles adherence to the rules and guidelines stated above by bringing their concerns to the race director prior to or after a race.

If you have any additional questions please feel free to message me or ask me in person when you see me. All of these rules have been lifted from the R.O.A.R. rulebook that is available to view from there website. Keep in mind that these rules are here in an effort to create a more level playing field and for us to be as fair as possible to provide a fun and exciting racing experience. I look forward to racing with all of you soon!!!!

I think we do need to sort out the P/N thing because there are a lot of X-Pattern tires.

4702 are 26mm D-Compound X-Patterns mounted on Split 6 Chrome wheels and IMHO they suck on S&H's carpet track. Everything I've read says D-compound does OK on pavement though. I had some HPI Vintage tires that were also D-Compound and they sucked on the carpet too : ( http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/4702/

    4790 Is the 26mm unmounted D-Compound tire. http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/4790/

    4490 Is the 26mm unmounted Pro-Compound tire. http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/4490/

    4495 Is the 26mm unmounted Pro-Compound belted tire. http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/4495/

    Some others:
    4480 Unmounted 22mm Pro-Compound tires. http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/4480/

    4485 Unmounted 22mm Pro-Compound belted tires. http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/4485/

    4733 26mm D-Compound on TE37 Wheels w/0mm Offset. http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/4733/

    4734 26mm D-Compound on TE37 Wheels w/3mm Offset. http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/4734/

    4735 26mm D-Compound on TE37 Wheels w/6mm Offset. http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/4735/

So what's allowed and what isn't?

2011 Winter Championships Classes and Rules Empty X-Pattern radials

    Post  R.A.D. Racing Thu Jan 06, 2011 7:16 pm

    Jay,
To answer your inquiry you are correct. There are several different X-Pattern Radials available. The correct one for the Sedan GT class is HPI part #4490. This is what comes pre-glued to the tire/rim package that you can get through Science & Hobby. Sorry about the confusion and thank you for catching it so we can get it cleared up. If you have any other questions just let me know. Will be more than happy to answer for you and look forward to seeing you Sun.
