Nice to see another chevy. I am running a 42 pinion with a 88 spur. It seems about right. I also have a spare battery and a smart boost if you need them. I will let Dave jump in as to what they will allow. He is in charge of that stuff. Hope to see you next week.

Just check out the thread concerning the rules for the Vintage Trans Am class; it's all there.

Brett is on the right track with the gear ratio. Most of us have our tires trued to 2.3" which also helps.

    Hope this helps

Check out the Team Green post in the my cars section. I know Dave will not be racing this sat, but if enough of us "new guys" are ready we will still have some fun racing.

dirty petcock, I'm sorry but no you can't use a 27t brushed motor. The only brushed motor we are allowing at the moment is the Venom 21T mod; and the only reason for that is that was the motor we originally started out with till we made the switch to brushless. We are really trying to encourage everyone in this class to go brushless so as to keep things consistent.

I can't keep making exceptions for this class. Please read the rules as stated on this website under "Vintage Trans Am class rules".

I do understand that there are folks out there who would like to race Vintage Trans Am pan cars, and that they may already have a pan car with a certain motor or battery or tires, etc that they would like to use as they don't want to spend the money to switch over to what is required in the class. I get it. However, it is of vital importance that we maintain the integrity of the class, and if we keep making allowances then that will be lost.

I do hope that you understand where I'm coming from on this.

I still have the venom 21 motor if you need it. Just send me a pm. I might be able to meet you or drop it at snh so you have time to wire it up.
