Post  Robs Extreme rc Sun Apr 10, 2011 9:08 am

Alright Guys the weather is getting better. What afternoon do you all want to run? Who wants to get their own transponder? What classes? I know we will have a spec touring, spec Goose 2wd touring, nitro touring, and with the addition of The new Street Fighter tires probably a truck class. But This is for you so let me know what you want and I will try and make it happen.

I'm racing in the Goose class, and I like Saturday afternoon.

I also want a transponder and the chassis protector film.

Rob told me $38 for the transponders.

Brett, you should get the chassis protective film also to keep your Goose chassis from getting all scratched up on the asphalt.

Just my .02 but with summer arriving I think the short course trucks will be more at home on DIRT. I willbe running a goose and most likely a spec touring car. Looking for a technical road course. And I will take a transponder.

Hey Rob, save 2 of those transponders for me. I'll pick them up Saturday with the other items.

Bret, the car looks good! I was concerned over the belt picking up sand and grit but looks like we can add the pinion/spur to that too. Can't wait for the outdoor racing to start.

I think if we all pitch in and bring some brooms and leaf blowers, if anyone has any, we can clean the surface pretty quickly before we set up the track.

If we do that, the dirt and pebble issue will be minimal if not nonexistent. It's not a deal breaker.

I've got a portable pump and either a 65 gallon or 275 gallon tank if we need to wash the surface down. I would just need a source for water.

I am going to try and make it up to kmart later and check the area where the track will be. I will let you all know conditions when I see them. If anyone has a track layout in mind let me know. You can either post a pic here or email me a pic at (ice05_29@yahoo.com) or stop by the store. I am there tuesday - sunday. The store is open 7 days a weekbasically 9:30-7:00

Both ideas, the portable pump, and especially the backback blower are good ones guys! Two thumbs up!!

A clean racing surface is going to be vital for the Goose cars as they only have rear wheel drive and are much more sensitive than the 4wd touring cars.
