And it was worth it! It has a nice mix of speed and twisties. I would have bet $ that the rock would have claimed some victims tonight, but I was wrong.

George and I are quite pleased. It looks good and it is a fun track layout to run on.

As it is a small space, tonights A-Main was a perfect example how the saying "SPEED KILLS" is very accurate.

Slowing down the cars just a bit with some good driving ettiquete will keep everyone racing, and hopefully not constantly needing repair parts.

Hopefully the turnout is consistent every weds night (and possibly sunday also) and we all continue too have fun right thru the winter!

The track will remain set up for practice and available to run on thruout the week. Various other classes are optional including a modified Shortcourse and trucks complete with ramps and whoops to launch off!

ps: that blue blur I'm drivin' is a REDCAT king lol.

Ahhh I thought we wanted a good carpet track for "racing" I saw first hand a kid jumping off that ramp and every time he landed the car would put a tear in the carpet. All running off road tires will do on the carpet is bring down the traction and fuck things up. I guess mini's would be fine but nothing 10th scale and please no jumps. I want a track racers will want to come to and race, not a track that won't be worth a shit in a month bacause of people running slashes around tearing up all the hard work a few of us have put in. Do they run off road cars with jumps on the same carpet at the IIC or Snowbirds?? No and for good reason. Just my .02

    Ya, Jeremy, good point.

Sorry I need to clarify: the shortcourse will be restriced to minis and 18th scale.

ABSOLUTELY NO OFF ROAD VEHICLES or agressive tires and overdriving on the carpet. It is what SnH has 2 other dirt tracks for.

the last thing we want is a carpet track with more holes than alpine lace swiss cheese.

EDIT: Also there will be the $5.00 per day use of the track fee in effect starting October first for all who want to use said space just as there is with the dirt oval. Outside is still free of charge for daily use.

Tried the track out for a little bit today and it's a blast! That sweeping turn into the long straight is a lot longer than I was expecting and I'll have to gear up a few teeth for it. I'm looking forward to meeting other 18r guys so I can get some help on the issues with mine which became even more apparent once I hit the track.
